This is my 20th year with Winslow Unified School District. As a WHS 1992 alumni and long-time resident of Winslow, my husband and I have roots in the community and are honored and blessed to call Winslow our home. We have three children, two granddaughters and one dog. Our children and grandbabies are our pride and joy. If I’m not at work or at an athletic event, you can find me at home with my family.
I have worn many hats in my 19 years with Winslow Unified School District. I started working in 1998 as a Special Education Classroom Aide at Winslow High School, from there I went on to be the Secretary of Special Education at Winslow High School, then I decided to give Winslow Jr. High a chance and went to work there as a Clerical Aide, then moving on to the position of School Secretary. Four years ago I decided to go back to the place I call home. I am currently the School Bookkeeper and Secretary of Athletics at Winslow High School. So if you have any questions or need help in these areas please do not hesitate to give me a call. I am here to better assist you and all students and staff of Winslow High School.
Once again, welcome and I look forward to working with you, the parents, students and staff of Winslow High School.
Mrs. Valerie Huerta
Secretary of Athletics
