The Violet Richardson Award is given by the Soroptimists Of Winslow. This organization recognizes girls ages 14-17 for demonstrating leadership through their volunteer efforts. Not only does the scholarship award go to the girl, she chooses an issue that is important to her and her community, and $250 is awarded to the charity of her choice.
