The Dorrance Scholarship for first-generation students is a need-based award providing financial and academic support for Arizona high school graduates pursuing an undergraduate degree at one of Arizona’s public universities. The award is renewable for a total of eight semesters (four years) of funding. Scholarships are renewed based on academic standing, participation in program events and activities and community service projects.
You may be eligible if you:
*Are an Arizona resident and a current senior at an accredited
Arizona high school
*Will be a first-generation college student (neither parent,
stepparent, or legal guardian holds a four-year degree)
*Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted)
AND minimum test scores of 1110 SAT, 22 ACT, 72 CLT, or 1050 PSAT
*Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA
*Are accepted by one of Arizona’s three state universities and agree
to live in on-campus housing during freshman and sophomore year.
