MATERIAL GIRLS QUILT GUILD SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
SPRING 2024
Congratulations on continuing your education! The Material Girls Quilt Guild wishes to
award an outstanding student a $500.00 scholarship. The following requirements must be
met in order to apply and receive the scholarship.
1. Applicant must be a High School Senior and accepted by an accredited
college/university with an emphasizes in the arts or an accredited
vocational/technical education program.
2. Students who have been informed bythe established deadline that their college or
vocational education will be paid in full by means of other scholarships, grant, or
other funds which need not be paid back, may not apply.
3. Applications must be submitted to Mr. Barris, Room 102, by the end of the school
day on April 30th, or mailed to Paula Sue Soehner at 722 N Kinsley Ave. Winslow,
AZ 86047 before the April 30th deadline.
ITEMS TO INCLUDE IN YOUR APPLICATION PACKET:
1. The applicant personal information page.
2. Most recent high schooltranscript
3. Three letters of recommendation: (1 ) from a principal and/or
advisor/counselor; (1 ) from a teacher or vocational mentor; (1 ) from a
person who is not a parent, school faculty member, or administrator.
4. Resume reflecting community service and extracurricular activities.
5. 200-300 word essay that addresses why you have chosen the specific
profession you are pursuing.
