At Education Forward Arizona we are focused on helping Arizona reach its Achieve60AZ Attainment Goal—where 60 percent of the state’s population of working adults (ages 25-64) has a certificate, license, or degree—contributing to greater economic and individual prosperity, reduced social spending, and a more vibrant state economy for all Arizonans.



We are equally passionate about ensuring the success of all students in Arizona, especially those who have a financial need.



To that end, we have five scholarships available with various deadline dates, including the Adelante Scholarship, Education Forward Arizona Scholarship, Freeport-McMoRan Native American Scholarship Program, Guarantee Your Future with Freeport Scholarship Program, and the Helios 20th Anniversary Pathway Scholarship. Helios 20th Anniversary Pathway Scholarship


To commemorate 20 years of advancing education, the Helios Education Foundation is thrilled to announce the Helios 20th Anniversary Pathway Scholarship! This initiative is designed to empower students transitioning to their junior year of college and pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution in Arizona.

This prestigious scholarship provides not only financial support but also mentorship and success services through Education Forward Arizona to help you thrive academically and achieve your dreams.

Guarantee Your Future with Freeport Scholarship


Education Forward Arizona and Freeport-McMoRan are looking for adventurous individuals who are eager to start a skilled trade program for a new career and to explore possibilities you never knew existed in the mining industry. Apply for a scholarship program to earn a Certificate of Completion or an Associate of Applied Science degree in one of six critical technical areas. Individuals selected for this four-semester scholarship must be full-time students and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This scholarship will provide education, training, a paid summer internship and job placement with Freeport-McMoRan.

Education Forward Arizona Scholarship


The Education Forward Arizona Scholarship, provides financial support to Arizona high school seniors committed to earning a bachelor’s degree from an accredited Arizona institution.



Recipients will receive personalized support through Education Forward Arizona’s Success Services Program, including dedicated advising, skill-building workshops, career preparation, and more to ensure their academic and personal success.



Deadline: March 7, 2025


The application for the Education Forward Arizona Scholarship is NOW OPEN and will close on March 7, 2025.

The application for the Adelante Scholarship is NOW OPEN and will close on March 23, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.


Adelante Scholarship


In partnership with the Helios Education Foundation, Aliento and Education Forward Arizona have joined forces to re-engage young adults in pursuing higher education through the Adelante Scholarship.



Beyond financial assistance, scholarship recipients gain access to Aliento’s holistic student programming, including guidance, peer networking, and personalized coaching to help them thrive academically and personally.



Community college students and university students are eligible.

Freeport-McMoRan Native American Scholarship Program


In partnership with the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation, Education Forward Arizona is proud to administer the Freeport-McMoRan Native American Scholarship Program, offering financial support to Native American students pursuing higher education.



The program includes two scholarship opportunities: the Freeport-McMoRan Native American College Scholarship and the Freeport-McMoRan Navajo Code Talkers Scholarship.



Deadline: May 1, 2025


The application for the Freeport-McMoRan Native American Scholarship Program will open from February 1, 2025 and close on May 1, 2025.
