Representative Elijah Crane's office is excited to announce that the Congressman will be hosting the Congressional APP Challenge (CAC), a competition for STEM students in middle and high school.
The CAC accepts computer programs written in any programming language, for any platform (desktop/PC, web, mobile, raspberry Pi, etc.) The submission portal is now open for registration and students and teams may submit their applications through October 30, 2025, 12pm ET. The competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience.
Winners will be selected by judges from district STEM communities and will also be honored by their Member of congress. APPS are eligible to be featured on display in the U.S. Capitol building, on the official Congress website, house.gov and on the Congressional APP Challenge website. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will waive the application fee or the winning submission.
