Congratulations on continuing your education. We support you in your endeavors as well as applaud you, and wish to publicly reward your hard work, dedication and determination in furthering your education. We will be awarding one scholarship in the amount of $500.00 to a Winslow High School graduating senior who meets the criteria we have laid out. We encourage all seniors who will be graduating this May and who will be furthering their education to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Applicant MUST BE A CURRENT senior at Winslow High School
2. Applicant must be planning to attend a 4-year University, 2-year Junior College or Vocational school in the upcoming fall semester.
3. Applicant MUST HAVE participated in at least 2 acts of service while attending WHS.
4. Applicant must be maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Items to include in the application packet:
1. The application pages
2. One letter of recommendation: Please include 1 from an educator (teacher, principal, or counselor/advisor) or 1 from a person who is not a parent.
3. A 1-page essay that addresses the following question:
Please tell us about a service-oriented project that you have participated in and how it affected those around you.
Application must be turned in no later than April 28th.
