The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help high-achieving students from rural communities attend a four-year college with the goal of graduating debt-free.
Award: Up to $60,000
Deadline: December 1, 2026
⭐ Eligibility Highlights:
Graduating high school senior attending a public high school in a rural area
Rural county population must be under 50,000
Minimum 3.5 GPA
Minimum 24 ACT or 1150 SAT
U.S. citizen and resident of an eligible state
Must have attended the eligible high school during both junior and senior years
Planning to attend an eligible four-year college or university
Parents’ adjusted household income must be $125,000 or less
The scholarship can provide $2,000 for essential college expenses and up to $7,500 per semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters.
